Fall Festival at Mt. Vernon Bapt. Church

We had alot of invites to Fall Festivals this year but, since we had a busy day and Tracee was asleep, we decided to go to a festival close by. Jeff stayed with Tracee & Bryleigh & I went to Mt. Vernon Bapt. Church's Fall Festival. It was packed out. There were so many people there that it was really hard to move. But, Bryleigh really enjoyed it. She got a paper flower, got her face painted, got a balloon that looks like a dog & tons of candy!!! She got to play games, pet rabbits & goats, and jump in the jumpers. Bryleigh said she had the greatest Halloween ever!!!

Halloween Day!!!

We started off the day by going to church. They had the final day for their 70s Series & it was also Friend Day. The church staff set up jumpers outside for the kids and for the adults, they gave us a bag of Sugar Babies & a coke in a glass bottle! There were so many people that they had to set up chairs in the back. The pastor said that it was a record attendance!

Then the girls and I headed down to my mom's where we had a great lunch (Gumbo) & a relaxing afternoon. The girls got to feed the fish & ride the mule. These are their favorite things to do when they visit mamaw Margaret!

Pumpkin Patch, Fall Festivals & more

What a great night we had...at first I thought we were going Trick or Treating but, then Bryleigh decided she would rather go tomorrow night and just relax tonight. So we threw on Garfield's Halloween Adventure, lit our pumpkins & enjoyed relaxing :)

This has become a family tradition! We love watching this & It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

My pumpkin

Bryleigh's pumpkin (I loved it...in the light we didn't think it looked very pretty but, it looked really good lit up in the dark!)

Tracee's poor pumpkin barely made it to the lighting ceremony! LOL!

Jeff's pumpkin

Speaking of Jeff, he joined in on the fun! Think he enjoyed the Pirate hat more than Tracee did.

And of course the night was not complete without CANDY! Tracee enjoyed the chocolate covered coconut pumpkins & Bryleigh settled on Laffy Taffy!

Pumpkin Patch - Oct. 29, 2010

I thought we were going to miss out on going to the Pumpkin Patch this year because I had to take Tracee to the doctor yesterday, however, today, she has been perfectly fine. She hasn't run any fever since yesterday around lunch time & when I said something about going, she was ready! So we met my mom at the Pumpkin Patch. She had picked up my neice from school and all the girls had fun playing together in the hay. I got a few good pictures but not many. I'm just glad we could go and have some fun on this beautiful cool afternoon!

Halloween Pictures Oct. 29, 2010

Wow, can not believe Halloween is right around the corner! Well, this year Tracee is a Princess Pirate & Bryleigh is going to be WonderWoman! We are going to have so much fun!!!

Bryleigh's First Girl Scouts Field Trip- Oct. 26,2010

Bryleigh joined Girl Scouts this year. She is a Daisy. Today we went on our first Girl Scouts Field trip to the Nursing Building at ULM. It was really neat. They have remodeled the building and in a few weeks will have an open house for the public. The lady giving the tour said that the old building was messed up by the hurricane. We got to tour each room & the Java City Coffee room. Bryleigh even got to listen to a dummies' heartbeat using a stethescope. They learned what nurses do and what it takes to be a nurse. Bryleigh loved being able to go on the trip with her friends Erin & Emma Grace from Co-Op. I asked Bryleigh if she wanted to be a nurse when she grew up and she laughed and said "No, I want to be a Girl Scout Leader!" LOL! Tracee did great until about 15 mins before the tour was over, only because she was sleepy (She slept all the way home).
